Infomedia Ltd. is a supplier of information solutions to the parts and service sector of the global automotive industry. Infomedia has head offices in Sydney and Melbourne (Australia) as well as Michigan (United States), Cambridge (United Kingdom) Stuttgart and Cologne (Germany). The firm produces electronic parts and service related data products for automotive manufacturers such as Daihatsu, Ford, Hyundai, KIA, Land Rover and Toyota among others.

History

The Company was established in Sydney, Australia in 1987 as a distributor of graphical computer products. In 1990, Infomedia established a software development division to create specialised electronic selling and cataloguing solutions.

In late 1991, it introduced its first product, the electronic parts catalogue (EPC) Microcat. Other products were to follow; a service quoting system, Superservice Menus (SSM) in 2005, and through a partnership with Telstra, the online parts ordering system Microcat Market.

In early 2000, the Company acquired Datateck Publishing Ltd, and with it their key product, Partfinder.

In August 2000, Infomedia became a public company, listing its shares on the Australian Securities Exchange.
